Everyone else is wiring a chatbot to a voice. Genesis is the nervous system: reflexes, perception, memory and action, modelled on how real minds work. Live today in Los Santos Alive.

The problem
An LLM with a voice can chat. It doesn't know it's raining, that a gun is pointed at it, or that you robbed it last week.
What a nervous system adds
Designed to be engine-neutral. Running in GTA V today.
Genesis Runtime · the core
Runtime is the mind around the model. It perceives, remembers, reacts and acts. Your game just executes.

Research
Every part of Genesis Runtime starts with how real minds work. A bigger model doesn't give you this. Structure around the model does.

For studios
We've shipped AI to paying players, so we know why studios hesitate. Genesis answers all four reasons.
“Who pays for every line?”
Players do, in your store.
Credits styled as your own currency, sold in your menus. Live AI becomes revenue, not a server bill.
“Will it stay in character?”
AAA-depth scenes, written at scale.
Batch-generate scenes for your world, review them, ship them pre-baked. Characters improvise only off-script.
“Will it say something it shouldn't?”
Your rules hold.
Low-latency safeguards keep conversations inside your world rules and rating, without breaking character.
“Who keeps it running?”
We do. No API keys.
No provider accounts for players. Gateway routes around outages; model changes never need a patch.
Genesis Gateway
And they never go quiet. Every turn is routed across several speech, language and voice providers, with failover before the player notices.
How Gateway worksIn production · Los Santos Alive
Players speak into a microphone. Pedestrians, suspects, partners and dispatchers answer in their own voices, and act. Every Genesis system was hardened here first.
Read the case studyPolice procedures
ID checks, breathalyzers, searches and arrests, all by voice.
Conversational dispatch
Talk on the radio; dispatch and units answer live, not from clips.
Autonomous partners
AI officers ride along, place cones and search suspects on their own.
Living crowds
NPCs talk to each other and react to gunfire, crashes and threats.

MuuhPro, after talking to a Los Santos Alive NPC
In players' own words
We asked Los Santos Alive players for a moment that made the world feel genuinely alive. These are their answers, word for word.
I wrote that I was crying, the lady went to other NPCs, they calmed me down.
Not being main character anymore but just simply a person that's interfering with what NPC's are doing.
…had a conversation with a lady standing outside. We talked for awhile and she decided to ride with me to get food. Learned she was from Liberty City.

Questions
Los Santos Alive is where we test. Genesis is the product. GTA V is the hardest open world we could find: police procedures, vehicles, weapons and crowds, with real players who notice every mistake. Genesis itself is designed to be engine-neutral; a game describes its world and the actions it supports, and the same characters run on top.
An LLM with a voice can chat. It doesn't know what is happening around it, can't react faster than it can generate text, forgets you between sessions and can't act in the world. Genesis Runtime adds the perception, reflexes, memory and actions around the model. That is the hard part, and it's what we've spent our time on.
Genesis is running in production in GTA V today. We are working with a small number of teams on integrations beyond it. Tell us your engine and we'll tell you honestly where we are.
On fast routes, characters start speaking about half a second after the player stops talking. Reflexes don't wait for a model at all.
Payments run through Stripe, so card details never touch our servers. Accounts are isolated from each other, provider keys never reach the game client, and analytics use coarse, city-level location rather than stored IP addresses.

Police radio that answers back. How Genesis replaces menus and prerecorded clips with a live channel shared by the player, dispatch and responding units.
We work with studios, simulation teams and investors who think characters should do more than read a script. Tell us what you are building.
